During development, particular emphasis was thus placed on attaining the highest level of functionality. They impress not only due to their excellent price/performance ratio, but also thanks to their appealing design. The scissor frame allows for vertical height adjustment without lateral displacement, ideally suited for treatments using a sling table. The therapy couches are all equipped with a safety lock box as standard. Due to these great advantages in terms of comfort, electric therapy couches have become the treatment standard in many rehabilitation facilities, practices and clinics.Patients also often find the stepless electric height adjustment more comfortable than the steplike adjustment of a hydraulic treatment couch. For frequent changes of position during treatment, height adjustment via a rotary switch is preferable, although this can often also be retrofitted to couches with foot and hand switches.
Individual preferences always in the foreground
Comfort, spatial conditions and the individual physiotherapist's treatment methods are ultimately the yardstick for deciding whether an electric or hydraulic couch is the better choice.
Advantages of electric therapy couches at a glance:
- No effort required: In comparison to hydraulic therapy couches, you do not have to exert any force with electric therapy couches. This is particularly important if you have to treat many patients in a row.
- More comfort: Electric therapy tables offer more comfort than hydraulic therapy tables. For example, many patients often find the smooth height adjustment of an electric treatment table more comfortable.
- Robustness: Electric therapy tables are often more robust than hydraulic therapy tables and have a longer service life.
General questions about electric therapy couches
The height adjustment on electric treatment couches can be done in different ways. Two very common solutions are adjustment via a foot switch or via a hand switch. The most comfortable solution is certainly the electric all-round switch, where the height adjustment can be comfortably adjusted from each side with the foot using a bracket.
A powerful standard motor is installed as standard in the therapy tables of the Vento series. For more flexibility and faster up and down, a turbo motor with a stroke of 3cm/s is optionally available. In the Nexx series, the turbo motor is already included as standard. The Novak M couches are already equipped with a standard drive, which does not require any further configuration.
